Group Readings & Private Parties
Group Readings are only offered at In-Person events. Whether it be a local faire, festival, or farmer’s market, you can catch me at various Southern California events. There, a group of 3-5 may partake in a Group Tarot Reading.
Or I can come to you for a Private Tarot Party! Great for Birthdays, Girls Night In, Holiday Events or any occasion where you’d like Group Readings or multiple Individual or Couples Readings.
How a Group Tarot Reading Works
James Wanless, author of the Voyager Tarot, had a supplemental VHS video of how to use the deck which I had the pleasure of watching back in 2004. In the video, James discussed the Voyager Tarot Game.
How to Play
The cards are placed in front of the group face-side-down and everyone in the group uses their hands to move the cards around to shuffle the deck while choosing a card for each member of the group including themselves (keeping them secret for now). So if there are 4 in the group, each person chooses 4 cards. I would also choose 4 cards randomly.
Each player looks at their cards and mentally assigns a card to each member of their group, including themselves, to be revealed on their turn. The beauty of the Voyager Tarot is that each card is a collage of images. This makes it very easy for the reader to intuit meaning from the card even if they have never seen a Tarot Card before.
We then go around the table and each person receives a reading from the group. As I like to perform blind readings, I place and read the first card. Then, each person reveals why they chose the card they assigned to the recipient.
Each person receives an individual reading and at the end there is a Group Reading with all the cards. This can be a profound experience for the group, whether they are friends or family, this reading always brings them closer together.
