About Me
Clairsentient
As a small child in the 1980s, I would lay in bed and try to ignore all my senses to experience what I thought death would be like. Morbid, I know, but it turns out I was basically trying to put myself into sensory depravation. I now feel that this practice was my first experiences connecting to Spirit, my Higher-Self and Spirit Guides without knowing meditation. As an only child, I never felt alone and my mom would often comment on my good luck and intuition. I just had “a knowing” or clairsentience that has guided me on my path.
Tarot Cards
I had a fascination with Tarot ever since I was young. My babysitter’s friend was playing with them once and I was intrigued. It would be years before I had my own deck because I fell for the myth that someone must gift you your first deck. I finally bought my first deck in 1998 and have been reading the cards ever since.
Why ‘Feather’?
In 2012 I was invited to join a game in which my friends stated that whatever name I picked for my character, they would start calling me that moving forward. At the time, I was training for a half marathon and while on a 9-mile run there were several feathers laying in my path. I’m talking Hawk, Raven, and Owl feathers! I was compelled to pick them up. Running with the first feather in my hand, I felt like Dumbo and after the second, I tucked the feathers into the hair ties of my two braids. By the end, I had about 7 feathers hanging from my braids; someone pointed at me and shouted “Feathers!” I knew in that moment that ‘Feather’ was my name.
